Cairo – Mubasher: Juhayna Food Industries on Wednesday reported a 268% year-on-year hike in consolidated profits for 2017 due to higher revenues.
Net profit amounted to EGP 197.7 million in 2017, up from EGP 53.6 million a year earlier, the company highlighted in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Revenues climbed to EGP 6.06 billion in last year, versus EGP 4.9 billion in 2016.
Juhayna’s consolidated profits rose 12% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2017 to EGP 65.3 million, compared to EGP 58.18 million in the same period the previous year.
On the other hand, standalone profits declined to EGP 142.5 million in 2017 from EGP 200.3 million the year before.
