KACST, Amazon join forces to support tech companies

Riyadh - Decypha: The Badir Program for Technology Incubators and Accelerators located at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has signed an agreement with Amazon Global to support the emerging technology companies in Saudi Arabia.

Based on the agreement, Amazon Global subsidiary’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) will offer Saudi companies a wide range of on-demand cloud computing platform and services, the Saudi company announced in a statement.

The Badir programme was launched in 2007 to accelerate growth of emerging technology-based companies in the Saudi kingdom.

AWS is providing cloud infrastructure to hundreds of thousands of business, government entities and emerging businesses in 190 countries around the world, making companies in no need to buy serves and IT resources in advance.
