KGL posts lower profits in Q4, proposes bonus

Mubasher: Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport (KGL) reported a plunge of 67.4% in profits during the fourth quarter of 2016, as compared to the same period in 2015.

Earnings shrank to KWD 679,000 ($2.22 million) in Q4-16 from KWD 2.08 million ($6.81 million) in Q4-15, according to a bourse statement issued on Sunday.

During fiscal year 2016, profits levelled up 0.19% to total KWD 2.139 million from KWD 2.135 million in FY15.

The board members recommended distributing a bonus share of 5% or 5-for-100 shares, the statement noted.
