KIB’s quarterly profits rise 16%; board proposes dividends

Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) reported 16% growth in earnings for the fourth quarter in 2015.

KIB posted KWD 4.34 million profits in Q4-15 as compared to KWD 3.73 million in Q4-14, according to a statement viewed by Mubasher.

During the fiscal year 2015, the bank achieved KWD 16.1 million profits, 17% higher than KWD 13.7 million in FY14.

The bank’s board has recommended distribution of 9% cash dividends or 9 fils per share.

KIB’s finance revenues increased by 17% or KWD 9.2 million to reach KWD 63.2 million in FY15 as compared to KWD 54 million in FY14.

KIB’s investment revenues jumped KWD 1.1 million to stand at KWD 5.4 million in 2015 from KWD 4.3 million in 2014, a rise of 26%.
