Mubasher: Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has appointed Honeywell UOP to use a range of process technologies for the expansion of its refining and petrochemical complex at Al Zour Refinery, which is located in South Kuwait City, KIPIC said in a press statement issued on Monday.
Honeywell UOP will supply technology licenses, design services, key equipment, as well as other services to produce clean-burning fuels and other petrochemicals.
"This will be the largest integrated refinery and petrochemicals plant ever constructed in Kuwait," said the vice president and general manager, process technology and equipment at Honeywell UOP, John Gugel.
Honeywell UOP, formerly known as UOP LLC or Universal Oil Products, is a multi-national company that develops and delivers technology to the petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical production, and major manufacturing industries.
