Mubasher: Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) has announced awarding a five-year contract to SNC-Lavalin to provide engineering support services for the company’s projects.
KJO is a joint venture (JV) between Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited, and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company and is responsible for oil and gas development and production.
Under the contract, whose value wasn’t disclosed, SNC-Lavalin will contribute to upgrading KJO’s platforms and jackets, offshore, onshore crude oil and gas pipelines, gas facilities, utilities, and water treatment plants.
The Canada-based firm will also deliver instrumentation systems, as well as offer supply engineering services for new offshore platforms, jackets, and subsea pipelines.
“It’s a testament to the strong working relationship between KJO and our team, built up over almost a decade working together, that we’re able to secure another important framework agreement with KJO,” president of oil and gas at SNC-Lavalin, Christian Brown, stated.
SNC-Lavalin has operations in the GCC’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector, especially in Saudi, Oman, and the UAE.
