Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) has extended the registration period for the Shuaiba refinery auction until Monday, 23 July, instead of closing it on Wednesday, 11 July.
KNPC said that its decision aimed at giving an opportunity to a larger number of international companies to be nominated for Shuaiba refinery, Al Anba Newspaper reported.
The Kuwaiti oil company has scheduled 19 November to be the day for presenting financial offers of purchasing, which will be evaluated by KNPC’s board in addition to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) during November and December.
KNPC has clarified that it will notify the company with the best price to execute the purchase transaction in January 2019.
