Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has received $2.5 billion as part of the external fund for the Clean Fuel Project by KNPC, as reported by Al Anba Newspaper, according to a source in the oil field.
The funding amount is expected to reach $3.7 billion in the coming six months, Al Anba added.
With a total value of $4.68 billion, KNPC’s Clean Fuel Project is one of the largest investments in Kuwait to develop two refineries.
In May 2017, KNPC signed the biggest external financing contract in the history of Kuwait for a value of $6.2 billion.
The source clarified that 92% of the project works have been completed, Al Anba noted.
