KPC inks 3 liquefied gas deals with int’l firms

Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) signed three contracts for importing liquefied gas from international companies KPC's international marketing official Nabil Boresly told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Kuwait plans on importing 2.5 million tons of liquefied gas per year by inking the four-year contracts which were signed with British Petroleum, Shell, and Qatargas.

The Kuwiati petroleum firm intends to sign long-term contracts for 15 years to receive six to seven tons of the gas per year, Boresly said.

“The corporation is conducting a project to build facilities that can import 3,000 billion BTU daily of liquefied gas, aiming to meet the growing local demand on the energy source,” KUNA quoted Boresly.
