KPC saves $714m from LNG in 2017

Mubasher: The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has succeeded in saving $714 million in 2017 by importing liquified natural gas (LNG) to meet the demands of the electricity and water ministry instead of burning diesel, fuel oil, and crude oil.

The global marketing sector has succeeded in saving approximately $12 million during the period in which LNG imports were extended until December 2017, Al Rai Newspaper reported.

This amount of savings came in line with accomplishing a decrease in a claim valued at $7.9 million representing maritime accumulated compensations, the news portal noted.
