KPI's Vietnam refinery starts producing 92-octane unleaded gasoline

Mubasher: Nghi Son refinery has successfully started producing 92-octane unleaded gasoline, Nabil Bourisli, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), said.

Vietnam-based Nghi Son refinery is a joint venture between Petrovietnam, KPI, Japan's Idemitsu Kosan Co and Mitsui Chemicals.

The first cargo of 92-octane unleaded gasoline is estimated at 5 million litre and will be sold on Tuesday, 1 May 2018, the CEO.

It is worth noting that Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical is one of Asia’s major projects, as it refines around 200,000 barrels of Kuwaiti oil per day.

It is expected that the project will be fully operated by August 2018.

KPI did not give further details on the project's total cost.
