KPMG’s KSA unit posts double-digit growth for 4th straight yr

Riyadh – Mubasher: KPMG International said that its Saudi Arabia’s unit has registered a double-digit growth for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2017, although the kingdom has begun sweeping changes to overhaul its economy.

The increase in KPMG’s business in the world's top oil exporter was attributed to the rising demand for its services from the public and private sectors, said chairman of KPMG MESA and KPMG in Saudi Arabia Abdullah Hamad Al-Fozan.

KPMG has amended its strategy in the nation of the biggest Arab economy to cope with the National Transformation Programme and Saudi Vision 2030, Al-Fozan added.

“KPMG in Saudi Arabia will continue to invest in expertise and solutions with an aim of being the clear choice for our clients,” the top official said.

KPMG has provided about 1,200 job opportunities through its offices in the Saudi cities of Khobar, Jeddah, and Riyadh.

KPMG Middle East and South Asia’s (MESA) audit revenues jumped 13%, followed by advisory and tax revenues with 10.6% and 19.1%, respectively.

In the meantime, risk consulting and deal advisory revenues grew by more than 20% by the end of fiscal year of 2017, the company said.

“By the end of FY17, KPMG’s resource pool across the MESA region had expanded to nearly 7,500 professionals and associates with member firms present in 15 countries and covering 32 office locations,” according to the firm’s statement.
