KSA, Iraq energy ministers discuss oil markets developments

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi minister of energy industry and minerals Khalid Al Falih discussed the developments in the oil markets and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OPEC) efforts to stabilise oil markets in the region with Iraq’s minister of oil Jabbar Al-Luiebi.

Al-Luiebi and some Iraqi energy officials will also visit the Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known internationally as Aramco, according to a statement by Iraq’s Ministry of Oil.

In July, Al-Luiebi said that he is ready to collaborate with Saudi Arabia and Iran to discuss mutual interests, including cooperation in the energy and investment sectors.

Iraq's commitment to OPEC's agreement to reduce crude oil supplies reached 97%.

In March, Iraq cut its crude oil output to 300,000 barrels per day (bpd), from 4.46 million bpd.
