Mubasher: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain cut their diplomatic relations with Qatar on Monday.
The Kingdom also closed land, sea, and air ports with Qatar due to security reasons, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, adding that this decision came to protect the country from terrorism and extremism.
The UAE is giving Qatari visitors and residents 14 days to leave the country, WAM news agency mentioned.
Bahrain blamed Qatar for supporting armed terrorist activities and intervening in its internal policies. Additionally, Bahrain decided to withdraw its diplomatic mission from Doha within 48 hours and that all Qatari diplomats should leave Bahrain within the same period.
Egypt’s foreign ministry also announced in a statement the closure of its airspace and seaports for all Qatari transportation.
