Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UAE to increase the number of flights by 469 flights per week.
GACA’s assistant president for safety, security, and air transport Abdulhakim Al-Badr held a meeting with the chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in the UAE Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori to discuss how to develop air transport between the two GCC states, GACA stated via its official Twitter account.
Talks were held between the Saudi transport authorities and their Emirati counterparts to discuss increasing the number of flights between Dubai, and Riyadh and Jeddah, the chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline & Group Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said previously.
The UAE’s Emirates currently has 70 weekly flights from Dubai to four destinations in the Saudi Arabia.
