KSA, US to collaborate in clean fossil fuels and carbon management

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the US’s Department of Energy to collaborate in clean fossil fuels and carbon management fields, said the Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid Al Falih.

The collaboration between the two countries will impact positively on economy, environment, and energy supplies sectors, and this MoU will reflect one of the chances to collaborate in clean energy sector, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), reported, citing Al Falih.

“The MOU covers many technical fields in this regard including supercritical carbon dioxide power cycles; carbon capture, utilization, storage chemical, looping and oxy-combustion; the energy-water nexus, as well as other areas of mutual interest related to clean fossil fuels and carbon management,” the SPA concluded.
