Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday's session in red.
The main index shed 0.46% or 29 points to stand at 6,325.62 points.
The market exchanged more than 178.7 million shares at a value of SAR 2.9 billion distributed over 72,200 transactions.
The multi-investment sector was the only gainer rising 0.48%.
The real estate development and retail sectors led the worst performers decreasing 1.15% each, followed by the transport and hotel sectors which lost 0.69% each.
The banks sector decreased 0.60%, followed by the petrochemicals and agriculture sectors which shed 0.05% and 0.01, respectively.
On the stock level, 49 shares levelled up, 111 shared levelled down and 9 shares remained unchanged.
Saudi Cable Co. was the best performer gaining 3.25%, followed by Salama Cooperative Insurance Company and Middle East Specialized Cables Company (MESC) which increased 2.71% and 2.46%, respectively.
On the other hand, Fawaz Abdulaziz Al Hokair Company led the losing shares falling 2.64%, followed by Zamil Industrial Investment and Middle East Healthcare Company (MEAHCO) which lost 2.59% and 2.25%, respectively..
