KSA energy industries of least cost and highest gains – Minister

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's production of fertilizers, metals, petrochemicals, oil and gas is of the least cost and highest gains in the world, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy told Al Arabiya news channel.

Khalid Al-Falih, KSA minister of energy, industry and mineral resources, added that the Kingdom's production capacity of fuel reached 12.5 million barrels.

Al Falih noted that the world is suffering of economic slowdown and instability in oil markets, but this is a temporary period and will be surpassed.

Talking about the project being inaugurated by King Salman, Al Falih told Al Arabiya that a lot of oil-related projects are being established such as the newly project in the world "Khurais oil field" which produces 12 million barrels daily of Arabian light crude.

He added that concerning the mining sector, the investments' volume in Ras Al-Khair is projected to reach SAR 133 billion and as for the energy sector, Hajr project is being established and it is the largest in generating electricity with high efficiency combined cycle.
