KSA export value falls to SAR 62.4bn in May – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: The value of Saudi merchandise exports decreased 1.2% in May 2017, compared to May 2016, the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said.

The Kingdom's value of merchandise exports tumbled to SAR 62.44 billion in May 2017, from SAR 63.2 billion in the year-ago period, the GASTAT added.

Month-on-month, the value of Saudi Arabian merchandise exports went down 5.9% or SAR 3.94 billion.

Year-on-year, the Kingdom’s non-oil exports levelled down 9.8% to reach SAR 14.95 billion ($3.99 billion), from SAR 16.57 billion ($4.42 billion).

Saudi oil exports rose 1.9% to SAR 47.49 billion ($12.66 billion) in May 2017, from SAR 46.62 ($12.43 billion) in the same month in the year before.
