Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has appointed BNP Paribas SA as an advisor to sell power plant in Ras Al-Khair at a value of $7.2 billion, Bloomberg on Thursday reported, citing informed sources as saying.
The plant’s sale is a part of privatisation of some assets in the SWCC by selling some of the existing assets and developing new plants in collaborating with the private sector.
The plant produces 2,600 megawatts (MW) of power and 1,025 million cubic metres of desalinated water, making it the largest desalination and power plant internationally.
