KSA inflation falls to 2.3% in November

Riyadh – Mubasher: The inflation rate of Saudi Arabia declined to 2.3% in November as compared to 2.6% in October; the lowest inflation rate since the beginning of 2016, according to latest data issued by the General Authority for Statistics.

The consumer price index (CPI) by the end of November this year reached 137.5 basis points, compared with 134.4 points in November 2015.

Meanwhile, the data showed that the CPI retreated by 0.22% in November as compared to October when it stood at 137.8 points.

The main groups in the CPI basket recorded a growth in November, except for three sections; food and beverages, entertainment and culture, as well as restaurants and hotels which fell by 2.6%, 1.7%, and 1.2% respectively.
