KSA non-oil exports up 10% in January

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports rose 10.3% in January.

Non-oil exports reached SAR 14.02 billion ($3.74 billion) in January, down from SAR 12.71 billion ($3.39 billion) in the year-ago period.

The exports’ value also went down 6.1% or SAR 918 million month-on-month in January, according to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics.

Products of the chemical or allied industries hiked 25.4% to reach SAR 3.93 billion in January 2017 compared to SAR 3.13 billion in January 2016.

Moreover, products of plastics and rubber went up 18% to SAR 4.9 billion in January from SAR 4.5 billion in the same period of the previous year.

Saudi exports to the GCC fell 0.5% year-on-year to SAR 3.72 billion in January from SAR 3.74 billion.

The UAE topped the partner countries for exports by around SAR 2.01 billion, while China came second with SAR 1.79 billion in January.
