KSA not to impose 10% tax on residents – Official

By: Mohamed Idris

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Ministry of Labor spokesman Khalid Aba Al-Khail negated what was circulated on social media platform that the ministry will impose a 10% tax on the residents whose basic salary exceeds SAR 3,000.

He also denied that the ministry launched a campaign to reduce the number of the arrivals working in the private sector through imposing taxes on jobs, stopping the recruitment and renovating the working licence for around 60 professions.

Moreover, the news circulated on social media pinpointed that the Saudi labor ministry will obligate the companies and institutions to exchange the arrivals with the Saudi citizens in the coming few months and limit the sales job on the Saudi nationals only, the thing that Aba Al Kahil negated as well.
