KSA records SAR 22.47bn trade surplus in September

Riyadh – Mubasher: In September 2016, merchandise exports and imports of Saudi Arabia amounted to SAR 53.423 billion and 30,953 million respectively.

The Saudi Kingdom recorded a trade surplus of SAR 22.470 billion in September 2016, compared with SAR 6.323 billion for the same period of the previous year, according to a recent report published by General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).

China came as the main distention for exports in Saudi Arabia as the value of Saudi exports to China has reached SAR 6.693 billion.

Japan and South Korea followed next with SAR 5.913 billion and SAR 5.106 billion respectively. The United States, India, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Taiwan, Netherlands, and Bahrain were the other countries that ranked in the top 10 destinations with exports value amounted to SAR 37.709 billion.

On other hand, imports from the United States amounted to SAR 5.273 billion in September 2016, rendering the country the main origin of imports of Saudi Arabia.
