KSA’s ICT spending hits SAR14bn

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s spending on information and communication technology reached SAR 13.8 billion, said Seddik Al-Tayeb, deputy assistant governor at Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

The kingdom’s Internet and telecom services are seeing steady growth, said the official, adding that CITC aims that Saudi Arabia become a gate for satellite broadband.

Seven out of each 10 persons in the kingdom owns a smart mobile phone, said Al-Tayeb, adding that Internet users exceeded 20 million.
