Riyadh – Mubasher: Russia-based Rosoboronexport on Monday signed a contract with the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) to nationalise the industry of Kalashnikov AK-103 assault rifles in the Kingdom, a Russian spokesperson has said.
During Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s visit to Russia, Rosoboronexport and SAMI signed an agreement on the general procedures for licencing the manufacture of AK-103 rifles and its ammunition in Saudi Arabia, the spokesperson of Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Maria Vorobyova said.
Russia will export S-400 air defense systems, Kornet-EM anti-tank missile systems, TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, AGS-30 grenade launchers, and Kalashnikov AK-103 assault rifles to the Kingdom, Vorobyova added.
