KSA’s exports to GCC decline 11% in August – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian merchandise exports of national origin to the GCC nations went down 11% or SAR 314 million in August 2017, compared to the year-ago period, the Saudi General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) data on Wednesday showed.

The value of Saudi non-oil exports to the GCC reached SAR 2.55 billion in August 2017, compared to SAR 2.87 billion in August 2016, the GASTAT added.

Year-on-year, the Kingdom’s imports of national origin from the GCC fell 4.3% or SAR 162 million in August 2017.

The GCC states exports to Saudi Arabia amounted to SAR 3.62 billion in August 2017, compared to SAR 3.78 billion in August 2016.

In August 2017 the Saudi exports to the UAE stood at SAR 2.21 billion, whereas the UAE exports to the Kingdom amounted to SAR 2.62 billion.
