Riyadh – Mubasher: The average prices of iron and cement in Saudi Arabia declined during 2017, registering their lowest level since the beginning of 2007, or sine about 11 years.
Iron’s average price decreased 1.4% to SAR 2,250.65 per tonnes in 2017, compared to SAR 2,218.5 per tonnes the previous year, according to the General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) data.
Year-on-year, the prices of Iron in the Kingdom inched down 0.5% in 2017, reaching SAR 2,250.65 per tonnes, compared to SAR 2,261.57 per tonnes.
On the other hand, cement average prices in the kingdom amounted to SAR 12.81 per 50-kilogram bag, compared to SAR 12.7 per 50-kilogram bag in 2006.
Cement prices in the Kingdom decreased 5.4% in 2017, from SAR 13.54 per 50-kilogram bag a year earlier.
