KSA's steel prices hike for 3rd month in row

Riyadh – Mubasher: Prices of construction materials in Saudi Arabia witnessed mixed performance during November, Saudi General Authority of Statistics’ data showed.  

Average prices for 22 construction materials rose in November 2017 compared to a year earlier, led by Saudi 16-mm steel, rising 22.9% to SAR 2,234.08 per tonne, followed by 18-mm steel with 22.8% to SAR 2,232.97 per tonne, and 14-mm steel with 22.7% to SAR 2,233.92 per tonne.

On the other hand, prices of 15 construction materials declined, especially Saudi black and white cement, losing 5.4% and 2.9% to SAR 13 and SAR 39.14 per 50 kg bag, respectively.

Wood types showed different pricing, as the prices of African teak, Indonesian plywood, and Chilean wood declined, while the Romanian Timber prices increased.

Moreover, prices of all types of electronic cables and wires rose during the last month.
