Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Energy and Industry aims to launch a programme to nationalise energy supplies and other economic sectors in the coming period, said Khalid Al-Falih on Thursday.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of meeting for GCC industry ministers, Al-Falih revealed that the new programme is part of the 2030 Vision adopted by the Kingdom.
We must provide the necessary protection to our industries against dumping by other manufactures from other countries, the newly-appointed minister said, adding that the industrial sector has become a major player in diversifying income sources and job creation.
He further noted that the mining sector will have a bigger role in the coming period, both industrially and in terms of oil and gas production.
