KSA targets applying selective tax in April

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Ministry of Finance stated that it has not yet started applying the selective tax on some goods.

The ministry added that the tax will be applied after the ratification of the uniform agreement on selective tax the issuance of the domestic rules of procedure, according to a statement.

The targeted date for its implementation is April, 2017, according to what was announced before, the ministry noted.

Finance ministry denied what was circulated earlier in some newspaper around the start of implementation of the tax on some goods, such as soft drinks, energy drinks, and tobacco and its derivatives.
