Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi labour minister Dr. Mufarrij Al-Haqbani said on Wednesday that any activities or operations that could be of added value to Saudis will be utilised and implemented.

Speaking to Mubasher on the sidelines of the Labour Market Forum, Al-Haqbani  stated that the ministry is currently conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses for all market activities, particularly the retail market in cooperation with other ministries and government bodies.

Market options and operations need to be suitable for the Saudi labour market, he said, adding that training programmes need to be provided for Saudis.

As for expatriates, the minister said that they will have two options if their work is Saudised.

They can either find another job by changing their profession and moving to another sector or they can leave the country, he said.

Regarding the revenues from Saudising the telecom sector, Al-Haqbani  highlighted that members of the Saudi labour force have completed training programmes in the sector and are ready to enter the market.
