Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will start imposing fees ranged between SAR 300 to SAR 400 monthly on foreign workers as of 2018, according to the number of incoming labour versus Saudi workers, said the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The fees will be paid by the private sector's companies to replace expatriates with local workers, the MoF added through its official Twitter account.
In July, the Kingdom began collecting fees from companions of foreign workers as part of its programme for achieving financial balance.
On 12 December, informed sources stated that the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information would announce 2018 budget on Tuesday, 19 December.
