Riyadh-Mubasher: Some subsidiaries of Saudi Company for Development and Technology Investment (Taqnia) signed on Sunday agreements with leading global companies at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.
The agreements aim to establish five companies specialised in the settlement of technologies and advanced industries in the fields of military and civil aircraft, satellites, radars and clean energy transfer, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
The first deal is to found a Saudi joint venture between Sikorsky Aircraft and Taqnia Aeronautics Co. to manufacture the multi-role vertical planes.
Under the second agreement, a Saudi company will be established between Taqnia Aeronautics and the Ukrainian Antonov to manufacture the multi-role medium and heavy transport aircraft.
The third agreement is to found a joint venture between Satellite Technology Co. and US-based Digital Globe to manufacture and market space reconnaissance satellites.
The fourth company will manufacture equipment and electronic warfare systems, while the fifth one will manufacture and market LED lamps.
