KSA to export electricity surplus as per global prices – Official

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia produces quarter of the electricity in the Arab world and it has a huge surplus to export in winter as per energy prices in global markets, Saleh Al-Awaji, undersecretary of KSA energy ministry said.

Al-Awaji, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) chairman as well, added at the sidelines of the Arab-China Energy Cooperation Conference in Beijing that Chinese companies are willing to increase their investments in the Saudi electricity sector.

The upcoming period will see electricity exporting to the regional and international markets, establishing the Arab power grid and enhancing expansions along with power linkage with Turkey, Saudi Press Agency cited SEC chairman.
