Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia plans to apply a 5% value-added tax (VAT) on gasoline, the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) said via one of its Twitter accounts.
This VAT will be imposed starting 1 January 2018, the GAZT said in a reply to an online question.
The GAZT had previously announced that most of commodities and services in the kingdom will be subjugated to a VAT of 5%.
