KSA to open UNWTC regional office in Riyadh

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Tourism was delegated to contact the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and prepare regulatory requirements to open a UNWTC regional office in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The announcement came on the sidelines of the Saudi cabinet virtual meeting chaired by King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Tuesday. 

Moreover, the ministry was delegated to complete necessary procedures to establish an international academy specialising in the training and development of the tourism sector employees.

For his part, Saudi tourism minister, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al Khatib, said that working through an international cooperation organisation offers a professional environment that improves the quality of services provided to tourists and contributes to offering necessary information that enriches work in the vital sector.
