Riyadh – Mubasher: Deputy crown prince Mohammed bin Salman said on Monday said that a number of sectors in the Finance Ministry will see a restructuring, including the budget preparation, which will be overhauled in two years’ time.
He added that all ongoing infrastructure projects will carry on as planned and will not be halted.
Restructuring the housing sector will help raise the level of Saudi home ownership, the deputy crown prince told Al Arabiya news channel.
On another note, he revealed that the Ministry of Water and Electricity (MOWE) failed when it hiked prices significantly affecting low-income households.
Water and energy subsidies will be provided to those with medium or below average income, bin Salman stated, adding that the Vision pertaining to these subsidies will be applied to ministers and princes.
“Our ambitions will surpass the problems of housing and unemployment,” he said.
Regarding the Green Card project, the deputy crown prince indicated that the project will be pillar of investment and will allow Arabs and Muslims to live for longer periods in Saudi Arabia.
The project will be applied within five years, he stated.
Bin Salman noted the lack of cultural services in the Kingdom, adding that the government will open the field of tourism to all nationalities in accordance with the Kingdom’s values and beliefs.
