KSA to trim oil output by 520,000 bpd in September

Riyadh – Mubasher: State-owned Saudi Arabian Oil Co (Saudi Aramco) is planning to reduce its oil output to customers across the globe in September by no more than 520,000 barrels per day (bpd), Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing an unnamed source as saying.

Under the decisions taken by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Saudi Arabia, the largest oil exporter in the world, is required to trim its production by around 489,000 bpd.

Sources also told Reuters that Saudi Arabia will reduce its supplies to Asian buyers by as much as 10% next month.

Earlier on Tuesday, other sources told the news agency that the state-owned oil giant was planning to carry out limited maintenance at its Abqaiq oilfield in the Eastern Province in September.
