KSE closes in green amid rising liquidity

Kuwait-Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) rose by 1.55% or 80 points to close at 5,198.37 points on Thursday.

The Weighted Index also leveled up by 2.21% or 7.73 points to settle at 357.34 points, and KSX 15 grew 2.82% or 23 points to reach 840.55 points.

Technical analyst Nawaf Al-Oun noted that the index is having support at 5,174 and 5,134 points respectively.

Today’s turnover soared 94.6% to KWD 20.71 million as trading volume surged 117.6% to 232.59 million shares.

The technology sector topped the gainers by adding 3.19%.

Taameer Real Estate was the top winner with 13.16% growth, while Kout Food led the losers with a decrease of 5.17%.

Ithmaar Bank was the most active stock as 21.6 million shares were exchanged.

NBK recorded the highest liquidity, generating more than KWD 3.2 million.
