KSE closes mixed; 42% liquidity dries up

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) lost 0.18 points to close at 5,563.97 points on Wednesday.

The weighted index rose by 0.07% or 0.27 points to 337.40 points; Kuwait-15 index levelled up 0.18% or 1.58 points.

Turnover retreated 41.87% to KWD 6.65 million, while trading volume gained 0.88% to 94.55 million shares.

The Insurance and industrial sectors fell by 0.58% and 0.57%, respectively, while the technology sector gained 1.28% and health care remained unchanged.

Nafais Holding led the losers with a decline of 10.87%, while Al Masaken topped the winners by adding 7.58%.

Viva recorded the highest turnover of about KWD 862,900; while GFH was the most active stock as 17.77 million shares were traded.
