Kuwait - Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange’s (KSE) indices closed on a mixed note on Sunday.
The price index slipped 0.02% or 1.15 points, closing at 5389.55 points, while the weighted index ended nearly stable at 348.96 points. On the other hand, the Kuwait 15 rose 0.24%.
The turnover increased 35.2% to KWD 9.94 million ($32.90 million) on Sunday compared to KWD 7.35 million ($24.33 million) in the previous session.
Trading volume decreased 18.7% to 58.53 million shares, from 71.97 million shares on Thursday.
As for the sectors performance, 7 sectors were rose today, with technology adding 1.6%, banking 0.27%, thanks to Boubyan Bank which went up 2.7%, while Watani 1.75% and Ithmaar gained 1.45%
The real estate also edged up 0.04% today, on the back of United Real Estate Company (URC) share edging up 7.8%.
On the other hand, 5 sectors went down, with basic materials losing 1.3%, telecommunications decreasing 0.44% after Zain dropped 1.5%, while the insurance sector lost 0.22%.
Kuwait Cable Vision led the losers today, sliding 10% to 22.5 fils, after only one transaction.
International Financial Services (IFA) was the most traded share with 5.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of KWD 177,130. The stock rose 5.2%.
Watani had the highest turnover of KWD 2.74 million, with 4.73 million shares traded, it ended today’s session increasing 1.75% at 580 fils.
