Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) inched up 0.01% or 0.55 points to reach 5,353.02 points by 9:40am Kuwait time on Wednesday.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went up 0.66% and 0.29% respectively.
KSE’s liquidity reached KWD 1.83 million after 11.9 million shares were exchanged through 420 transactions.
The oil sector topped the gainers with 0.62%, backed by Senergy which rose 6.7% to top the winners.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led the decliners with 0.58%, dragged by Viva which dropped 1.15%.
Securities House was the top loser with a fall of 5.68% or 2.5 fils to 41.5 fils.
Al Salam was the most active stock on which 1.72 million shares were traded, while KFH recorded the highest liquidity of nearly KWD 675,100.
