Kuwait – Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) indices advanced collectively on Wednesday on the rise of nine sectors topped by the financial and banking ones.
The benchmark price index added 0.6% or 31.64 points to close at 5,315.23 points, while the weighted index went up 0.48%. Similarly, KSE15 index gained 0.42%.
At the sectorial level, the banking sector gained 0.91%, while the real estate sector gained 0.81%.
On the other side, each of the basic materials sector and insurance sector were the only decliners.
The market trading volume surged 76% to 95.6 million shares, while the trading values climbed 6.2% to KWD 10.3 million.
Al Imtiaz Investment was the top performer as it went up by 8.2% to 33 Kuwaiti fils with 12, 000 shares changed hands worth KWD 396,000.
On the flip side, Tamdeen Investment was the worst performer as it lost 8.33% to 275 Kuwaiti fils with only 6 stocks changed hands worth KWD 1,600
