KSE indices down in Wednesday’s early trades

Kuwait – Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange’s (KSE) indices opened Wednesday in the red, with the price index shedding 0.22% or 11.81 points to 5,400.56 points.

Meanwhile, the weighted index and the Kuwait 15 index slipped 0.19% and 0.17%, respectively.

By 10:45am Kuwait time, a total of 8 sectors were down, led by the telecom, consumer staples and real estate sectors, which lost 1%, 0.52% and 0.47%, respectively.

On the other hand, the industry sector was the sole gainer, adding 0.13% after Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport (KGL) and Salbookh Trading grew 3.7% and 3.4%, respectively.

KGL also ranked second top gainer on the KSE today.

During that time, turnover reached KWD 1.3 million after 21.5 million shares were traded through 608 transactions.
