KSE loses in a week amid thin liquidity

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) indices moved to the red territory this week, amid retreating liquidity.

The price index fell by 0.10% or 5.90 points to end at 5,788.47 points, compared with 5,794.64 points last week.

The weighted index also shed 0.12% or 0.49 point to 394.11 points and KSX 15 fell by 0.47% to 939.12 points.

The weekly traded volume declined by 17% to 543.9 million from 656.17 million shares. Turnover also fell by 38% to KWD 48.6 million from KWD 78.45 million.

Six sectors were in green, topped by consumer services (+2.57%), while seven other sectors were in red led by healthcare that shed 4.55%.

Nawaf Al Shaei, market analyst, advised traders to focus on stock with strong performance and continued growth, especially in banks, services, industrial and oil sectors.
