KSE opens down; caution becomes common theme

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) lost 0.04% or 2.15 points to settle at 5,5562 points at 9:30 am Kuwait local time.

The weighted index retreated by 0.12% or 0.46 points to reach 376.67 points; and the Kuwiat-15 index dropped 0.17% or 1.5 points to 887.38 points.

Traders at the Kuwaiti bourse chose to be cautious in their trades, adopting a wait-and-see strategy for the upcoming period, said financial analyst Adnan Al-delimi. However, the analyst noted that hovering around the current levels still shows signs of stability that support the market until it recovers its strength.

Trading value stood at about KWD 572,500 after 9.91 million shares which were exchanged through 252 transactions.

Al Masaken was the top winner by a growth of 7.58%, while Ajial led the losers with a decrease of 7.35%.

Al Dar National Real Estate was the most active stock as 4.04 million shares were traded with a value of around KWD 110,000. The stock rose by 3.77%.
