KSE posts 4th decline in row

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) retreated for the fourth straight day on Thursday, ending 0.76% or 43.4 points lower to settle at 5,686.15 points.

The weighted index lost 0.76% or 3 points to settle at 386 points. Also, the Kuwiat-15 index dropped 0.98% or 9 points to reach 914.8 points.

Today’s turnover increased by 42.1% to KWD 15.86 million, as trading volume grew by 45.6% to 125.82 million shares which were traded through 2,679 transactions.

The insurance sector topped the gainers by a growth of 1.04%, while financial services led the decliners as it fell 1.2%.

United Foodstuff Industries Group advanced the winners by adding 25%, while Kout Food led the losers after moving 12.5% down.

GFH was the most active stock as 39.9 million shares were traded through 267 deals, with a value of KWD 1.36 million. However, the stock retreated 4.4%.

NBK posted the highest turnover of KWD 3.75 million, after 52 transactions were exchanged by 4.63 million shares. The stock settled at 810 fils.
