KSE posts positive week on bigger values, volumes

Kuwait-Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) gained 3.75% or 188 points to close at 5,198.37 points during the week ended 4 February as compared to 5,010.39 points in the week ended 28 January.

The Weighted Index rose by 3.62% or 12.5 points to reach 357.34 points this week from 344.87 points a week ago. Meanwhile, KSX 15 levelled 3.81% or 30.87 points up to 840.55 points from 809.68 points.

During the week, liquidity surged 29.5% to KWD 81.92 million as trading volume grew 10.5% to 919.91 million shares which were traded through about 22,740 transactions.

The Kuwaiti indices performed positively on on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but, declined collectively on Monday and Wednesday.
