KSE raises interest on long-term contracts, future sales

Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) announced raising the interest rate on long-term contracts and future sales to 6.75% from 6.5% as of Thursday.

The raise came after Kuwait’s central bank increased its discount rate by 0.25% to 2.25%, according to a bourse announcement.

The bank’s decision followed the news of the US Federal Reserve increasing interest rates by 0.25% after seven years at near zero.
